— I’m New —

To The Grove

Elders, Deacons, & Staff

Jesus has given pastors/elders as gifts to know, feed, lead, and protect the church. These are the men our congregation has recognized as elders according to the qualifications in Scripture.

Avel Rivera

Avel was born and raised in Chicago, but moved to Orlando in 1989 where he met his wife Cyndia. They married and had two wonderful children, Jasmine and Daniel. Avel, a pastor’s kid and a musician, grew up in the church where he learned to play the guitar, bass, and drums. His favorite past time is golf, and his favorite books of the Bible are Romans and John.

Deacons are servants who oversee specific practical areas inside the life of our church. They absorb the shock created by the day-to-day life of the church as they implement the ministry established by the elders. These men and women have been recognized as deacons by our congregation according to the qualifications in Scripture.
