CHURCH PLANTING RESIDENT

The Church Planting Residency is currently filled. But we are always accepting resumes and will be hiring a new Resident in 2025.

Position Summary

The Church Planting Residency program is an 18 month, postgraduate ministry training program for men who are planning on pursuing church planting. This position will involve hands-on ministry training and pastoral mentorship with the intent of planting at the end of this residency.

This Residency is meant for the individual that is ready to plant and desires a finishing residency for final preparation. It is desired for the applicant to plant in Central Florida but it is not required. During the course of the Residency, the potential planter will be reading and writing in preparation to plant, opportunities to preach and teach at The Grove and other like minded churches in Florida, and the opportunity to get everything needed in place to plant (core team development, support raising, website design, administrative setup, etc.).

Successful applicants will be gifted and motivated men who sense a call to serve in vocational Christian service.  They will meet the qualifications outlined for church eldership as outlined in the New Testament: 1 Timothy 3:1-7, Titus 1: 7-9.

PASTORAL RESIDENT

We are currently accepting resumes for a new Pastoral Resident to begin in the Fall of 2024.

Position Summary

The Pastoral Residency program is a 24-36 month ministry training program for men who desire vocational ministry and desire hands on experience and training. This Residency is more general than the Church Planting Residency. This individual may have a desire to plant in the future, or be a Lead Pastor, or an Associate Pastor role. Part of this Residency is to help the individual find clarity in their ministry aspirations. 

This Residency Program involves overseeing specific ministries based on the resident’s gifting and the church’s need, reading/writing, and observation of the pastoral staff and elders at The Grove.
